Gaza health officials reported seven Palestinians killed in new Israeli airstrikes since midnight, as the conflict persists despite a declared ceasefire, Al Mayadeen reported Friday.

Five people died in drone attacks targeting police checkpoints in Khan Younis and northwest of the Bureij camp, while paramedics confirmed two more deaths following a strike in Gaza City’s al-Tuffah neighborhood.

These fatalities contribute to a total of over 615 deaths and 1,658 injuries since the October 11 ceasefire began.

Since the broader Israeli offensive started on October 7, 2023, the death toll has surpassed 72,073, with 171,749 wounded.

Alongside these hostilities, Hamas officials and the Prisoners’ Media Office have condemned the intensifying abuse of Palestinian detainees, particularly during Ramadan, citing systematic medical neglect and the deprivation of food and water in facilities like Ramla prison to break the prisoners’ resilience.
